--The Mutsuki type is a destroyer that was planned as the same type as the previous Kamikaze type, and was completed in 1926 (Showa 1) as a ship equipped with a 61 cm torpedo launcher to improve the lightning strike capability.
--Many improvements have been made, such as the double curved bow on the bow and the expansion of flare, but the displacement has increased and the speed has decreased. In addition, the restoration performance was also reduced due to the increase in the center of gravity.
--Furthermore, due to the Tomozuru Incident and the 4th Fleet Incident, performance improvement work was carried out.
--At the beginning of the Pacific War in 1941, Mutsuki organized the 30th Destroyer with Kisaragi, Yayoi, and Mochizuki of the same type and participated in the Wake Island capture operation.
――In August of the following year, it sank in the Solomon Sea due to the attack of a B-17 bomber.
