-Jean Bart, the last battleship of the French Navy, was laid down in 1936 before the outbreak of World War II, and in 1940 when France surrendered, it was left unfinished in Morocco to escape requisition from the German army. Escape to Casablanca, but under the German-occupied French Navy, construction will proceed locally as a fighting force against the Allied Forces.
- In 1942, during the Allied landing operation in Morocco, the war ended with the battle with the US Navy, and the restoration and construction work resumed in 1946.
-Started public trials in 1949, commissioned in 1955 and participated in the invasion of the Suez Canal Zone in the Suez crisis that occurred in October 1956.
- Decommissioned in August 1957 and scrapped in 1970.
