-The 455 series is a vehicle that appeared in 1965 as an output-enhancing type of the 451 series, and is mainly active on the Tohoku and Ou main lines as a 50 Hz express AC/DC train for gradient lines with a speed control brake. Did.
- A 13-car train consisting of 7 + 6 cars, including Sahashi 455 with a half-room buffet, divided and merged in the middle, 7 cars [Matsushima] [Iwate] on the Tohoku Main Line, 6 cars on the Ban'etsu West Line It was operated as [Bandai] and Ou Main Line [Zao].
- You can enjoy the 455 series in its heyday, which played an active role as a representative of the AC/DC express train in the JNR era.
