- An evolution of the MP4/2 introduced in 1984, designed by John Barnard.
-The carbon monocoque frame is equipped with a 1.5-liter TAG Porsche turbo V6 engine developed by Porsche.
- Equipped with a 4-valve head with an 80-degree V-type 6-cylinder. Equipped with two KKK turbochargers, it demonstrated the strongest performance at the time.
- Driven by Alain Prost and Niki Lauda in 1985 season.
- Prost won 5 times, Lauda won 1 time, and Alain Prost, who won 5 races, became the driver's champion.
