- The AD Skyraider is a carrier-based attack aircraft developed by the American Douglas Company and used by the US Navy after World War II.
- The world's largest and heaviest mass-produced single-engine propeller aircraft.
- The AD-5W is a side-by-side two-seat early warning aircraft developed from the single-seat AD-4.
- This aircraft has an enlarged vertical tail area, an AN/APS-20 radar under the fuselage, and a radar operator's seat behind the cockpit.
- The kit includes injection parts from the old Scale Wings company, canopy and cockpit parts with new molds, etching and paint mask seals, and 3 new US Navy decals.
- When completed, it will be approximately 169mm long and 212mm wide.
