- The command vehicle version of the Hetzer tank destroyer is a vehicle that is deployed to the battalion or company headquarters of units equipped with Hetzer tank destroyers, and is intended to provide communication with higher-level organizations located behind the front lines.
- In addition to the standard Fu.5 radio of the normal type, the command vehicle version now has a Fu.8 radio with long-range transmission capability.
- An external feature is that a star-shaped antenna is attached to the left side of the engine room.
- Although the number of command vehicle types produced is not clear, considering the number of units equipped with Hetzer tank destroyers, it is believed that at least 100 vehicles were deployed as command vehicle types.
