- The Sd.Kfz. 234 was a series of German 8-wheeled heavy armored reconnaissance vehicles produced between December 1943 and 1945. The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 was the first heavy armored reconnaissance vehicle produced as the Sd.Kfz. 234, equipped with a manually rotatable closed turret armed with a 60-caliber 5 cm KwK39/1 and a coaxial 7.92 mm MG42 machine gun.
- Although this vehicle does not have an official name, it is widely known by the nickname "Puma."
