Product Description
Introducing a completely new 1/35 scale WWII German XXVII F-class midget submarine assembly kit from Ukrainian GMU Models.
Development of the German Navy's XXVII F-class submarine began in the summer of 1944, following the Allied invasion of Normandy.
The basic structure of this ship was almost the same as that of the Negger-class, but unlike the Negger-class, it was capable of submerging and was planned to be equipped with a Walter engine in order to significantly increase its cruising speed.
The armament was planned to consist of a single G7 torpedo, placed in a groove-like recess in the underside of the hull.
Tests of a prototype by the Hamburg Shipbuilding Institute (HSVA) in August 1944 showed favorable results, but the project was subsequently cancelled.
The kit we are introducing this time is made of injection plastic parts and comes with a 3D printed torpedo contact fuse and screw parts integrated with the fins.
