[Actual vehicle guide]
The E8 series is a train for the Yamagata Shinkansen that began operation in March 2024.
This series will replace the existing E3 series, and will be coupled with the E5 series between Utsunomiya and Fukushima, allowing it to run at a maximum speed of 300km/h.
The body of the train is based on the E6 series, but the front car has a unique design for use on the Yamagata Shinkansen.
The exterior design is the same as the E3 series, with [Oshidori Purple] and [Zao Bianco] lines in [Safflower Yellow].
Fifteen sets are scheduled to be introduced by 2026, replacing the current E3 series.

The front shape, which is different from the E6 series on which it is based, is reproduced by a new production. The distinctive head and tail lights are also reproduced.
E5 series can also be coupled with the E811 series. TN couplers have been installed.
The area around the driver's seat in the leading car is also reproduced as much as possible.
The multipurpose room in car 12 has also been reproduced. The seats in the multipurpose room have also been reproduced as much as possible.
All vehicles are equipped with conductive couplers for stable driving.
The special edition comes in a color package with the G1 train's car number printed on it.
