- This is a collection of markings for the Tiger I heavy tanks of the 1st Company of the 503rd Heavy Tank Battalion, which were seen during Operation Tsitadel, famously known as the Battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle in history, on the Eastern Front in the summer of 1943.
- The 1st Company's Tiger I's participate in combat alongside the 6th Panzer Division.
- Like all decal sets, this set was carefully produced over a period of more than two years, with a huge amount of information collected.
- The vehicles belonging to this unit can be confusing with a mixture of lettering styles and Balkenkreuz, but this decal set neatly organizes the various markings for each vehicle, eliminating the need for guesswork by the modeler, who simply needs to select the options.
- Paint diagrams also allow you to identify differences between production lots and unique equipment specific to each vehicle.
- Four types of battalion emblems are also reproduced from the actual markings.
- Markings include vehicle #101, in which Kurt Knispel, one of the "Panzer Aces" of the 1st Company, was photographed, vehicle #131, which destroyed 16 T-34s in the battle, and vehicle #100, which had 19 kill marks on the gun barrel.
