Product Description

The Renault R40 was a French light infantry tank used early in World War II.
This is an improved version of the Renault R35, with a new suspension system that improves ground clearance and off-road capability.
One of its major improvements was the longer-barreled SA38 37mm cannon mounted in a cast APX-R1 turret, providing increased firepower over the outgoing R35.
The tank had a crew of two and armour thickness ranged from 23mm to 58mm.
It weighs approximately 12 tonnes and has a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
Despite improvements, production was limited and many were captured by German forces after the Fall of France.


It comes with a booklet (in Polish) about the actual vehicle and the Polish battle, and is packed with photos, so you can enjoy it even if you can't read.
