Product Description
Introducing the new 1/32 Ba349 Nutter injection plastic kit from Czech Fly.
The Ba349 was a vertical take-off rocket interceptor prototype built in Germany towards the end of World War II, and its nickname "Nutter" means Colubridae snake in German.
The wooden aircraft was fitted with 24 to 33 rockets mounted in the nose and was powered by one Walther liquid-fuel rocket, and was launched from a vertical catapult using four solid-fuel rocket boosters.
After takeoff, the aircraft was guided by radio to the target area, and once close to the target, the plastic cover on the nose was removed and the aircraft was attacked with rockets.
The pilot would then escape by parachute, and the engine would be separated at the same time and reused after the landing.
In the only manned test that was conducted in March 1945, the crew fainted shortly after launch and died when the spacecraft crashed.
Only a few dozen of this aircraft were produced by the end of the war, and they never saw combat.
The kit comes with resin parts, etching parts and six types of decals.
Two types of vertical stabilizers, two types of horizontal stabilizers, three types of nose parts and a display stand are also included.
When completed, the total length will be approximately 193mm and the total width approximately 124mm.
