This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the AS.42 Sahariana, a wheeled reconnaissance vehicle developed by the Italian army during World War II.

[About the actual car]
The Camionetta AS.42 Sahariana was a wheeled reconnaissance vehicle developed and used by the Italian army for operations on the African front during World War II.
-Based on Autobrinda's AB40/41 type 4-wheeled armored car, the chassis was used with a newly designed body attached.
The open-top vehicle had a cockpit in the center of the front, and various heavy weapons could be mounted in the center of the vehicle depending on the purpose.
The suspension is four-wheel drive, with four-wheel independent suspension and large diameter tires, providing high maneuverability.
Another feature of the vehicle was that it was capable of carrying a large amount of drinking water and fuel cans, with 20 cans on each side of the vehicle and four cans on each side at the front, in anticipation of long-distance and extended periods of travel and activity.
Production began in 1942.
- Not only was it active on the North African front, but it also saw action on various fronts throughout the war.

The model is a 1/72 scale reproduction of the Italian wheeled reconnaissance vehicle, the Camionetta AS.42 Sahariana, produced from 1942.
This is a plastic model assembly kit with a finished total length of 78mm.
The distinctive body design is realistically reproduced.
The jerry cans that are attached to the sides of the vehicle are modelled as one unit with the rack, making installation easy.
The metal plate used to escape from the sand is also included as a separate part, recreating the unique look of the Sahariana.
The open-top interior also features a model of the driver's seat located in the center.
The machine gun mounted on the vehicle is also reproduced in fine detail, enhancing the realism.
Even at 1/72 scale, this model is packed with personality.
